Mrs. Orma L. Steele, 80, died Tuesday night at her home at 310 S. Washington St. A resident of Fountain County for many years, she was a member of the Intersoll Chapel Christian Church there. She moved to Crawfordsville in 1929. Born March 19, 1887, near Hopedale, Ill, she was the daughter of George and Viola Maxwell Livengood. She married Augustus S. Steele Dec 25, 1902. Mrs. Steele was a member of the Alamo Eastern Star and was a past worthy matrol of that organization. She was preceded in death by her husband and two granddaughters. Survivors include a son, Homer Steele of near Crawfordsville; a daughter, a daughter, Mrs. Edward Siperek of Ft. Wayne; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Gilkey of Crawfordsville; a grandson, James R. Steele of Lafayette and four great grandchldren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, Rev. Howard F. Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday -- kbz

Funeral services for Mrs. Orma L. Steele were held Friday morning at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Miller officiating. Burial was in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers and assisting with the floral tributes were James Steele, Robert Stewart, Charles Grimes, Edward Siperek, Dale McClure and Harold Moore. Selections were played on the organ by Mrs. O.C. Edwards. -- typed by Chris M
